Mount Longonot is a stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, Africa. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s. Its name is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong'ot, meaning "mountains of many spurs" or "steep ridges".
7:00 - Depart from Nairobi to Mt Longonot National Park.
8:30 - Start the hike up Mt. Longonot.
11:30 - Reach mt Longonot Crater rim and go round the crater.
14:00 - Start descending to the base of Mt Longonot.
14:30 - Enjoy a lunch enroute to Nairobi (Mbuzi Choma or Chicken).
14:30- Depart for Nairobi.
18:15 - Drop off in Nairobi.
